Uchiki Kuri are japanese, Potimarron Chinese, but it seems they are virtually the same. But glad you liked them Odsox.

Also Odsox, do you need to peel your butternuts, most of the time we don't bother.

Yes, I find that the skin on roasted butternuts goes hard and tough, although steamed would probably be OK.

I only roast potimarrons and the caramelised skin is the best bit!

Glad you found a way to peel the funny shaped butternuts. :iconbiggrin:
