- that's whey they all go to uni innit ?? worst thing they EVER did in this country was scrapping apprenticeships - OK so some kids are clever and more suited for academic type jobs ( though from experience of having uni educated guys on my fire crew - bloody useless at any thing practical
) - but there's a lot more out there that would do far better learning a trade ( something that stood me in good stead all my life - as i left school at 15 and spent 5 years becoming a chippy ) BUT - there's far too much of all this "aspirational " BS in my opinion - ( hence my first T.I.C comment ) - and what's needed is a dose of reality as we cant all be football stars - TV personalities - "psychologists"
or whatever - you tried getting an half decent plumber lately ?? ( not that i ever need on as i can do all my own - well it ain't exactly rocket science )in fact society generally needs to get a dose of reality IMO - but it ain't gonna happen - well not until the proverbial REALLY hits the fan one day and then suddenly us "uneducated " artisan types - will again prove our worth over the clever blighters who would not know one end of a bit of 4x2 from the other - and could not bang a nail in stright if you gave them a starter for ten ( and would probably be winging they broke a finger nail - and thats just the guys
) having lots of supposedly highly "educated " people is fine ( unless you take into account those who run the country - sorry did i say "run " - i meant ruin
) - but you need us "dumb smucks " too 
now if you could get some educated PRACTICAL people .......................................... NAH - DONT BE SILLY BRETT
