Awright mate, from a ex-londoner... blown-in to the west of ireland...

Nice to meet you!

We very nearly ended up in Cork ourselves, but the best job hubby found was at galway, so here we are!

Wind turbines are quite popular over here, huh? Let's know how you get on!

j'espere que vous allez bien!

except here we would say 'tu' to each other so ...... tu vas bien!

Actually this is quite a coincidence because on another forum we have just been having a language lesson in Irish Gaelic - or rather, the alphabet and pronounciation, because we were discussing Irish names and how they're not pronounced anything like they are spelt! :lol:

All I have managed to get my head around is the fact that most consonants are followed by a H. :lol:

je vais . . tu vas . . il/elle va . . nous allons . . vous allez . . ils/elles vont (je pense :? )


on the Irish i dunno would i say it's as straightforward as throwing a "h" in behind a consonant :lol:
