Gardeners Delight as above good alround
Sungold...this is a fantastic orange cherry
Brandywine, not easy to grow, and not very productive but a proper heritage variety
Trying Black Krim and Ferline this year as well so will let you know.
It's not easy being Cheezy
So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli

Aha - Thurston Garden mentioned the magic word - sauce. If San Morzano are good for that, they sound like a worthwhile try.

the seeds are Tamina and Tumbling Tom, never tasted either but we'll give them a go, but with current weather (hailstones) I may just pop round the local farm shop and see which varieties they have that are already started

I have planted 2 packets of tumbling yellows this year for my hanging baskets (who need lobella?). I have a total of 7 palnts. Might just buy plants next year for those, it has been like extracting teeth trying to get them to grow. Waste of a good propagator!

The black cherry I have 1 seeding from one packet

On the good side I have Fantasio, Marmandes and Gardeners Delight comming out of my earholes!!

I have brought a differnet variety of Chilli (not sure which one) and that has been hopless too, The ones I harvested from my plants last year have nearly all grown so I have a good 20-30 plants now.

I must say all the seeds from Marshalls & Suttons have been great, the ones from Thomson & Morgan very poor. Has anyone else found this?

I mostly use suttons, so dont compare.. but all mine have been good so far this year

only gripe was I decided to try 'sweet olive' tomatoes and there were only 8 seeds in the packet! spensive! (but I should have read the packet first)- AND a slug had one of them.. never known a slug eat a tomato seedling before.. and it had to choose a spensive one...

Yes Red I have noticed some seeds are a bit lacking in quantity too.

Those tumbling toms were poor and only about 12 per packet.

Just checked out your website, FAB! I have started to put one together for our plot to keep a record of the progress.

You metioned that caugettes should be planted 24" apart.

I have some squash plants and 2 Atlantic giant plants I have grown from seed, do you know how far apart to plant those?

Thanks

My choice in France is limited for certain veg that people don't grow/eat here, so I have the choice between Thomson & Morgan or a French seed company which is twice as expensive as T&M!

However I have been sorely disappointed with T&M's poor germination and the small amount of seed per packet compared to French seed bought in a shop.

I'm really struggling right now with trying to get T&M sweetcorn to germinate.

Try Marshalls on mail order, im sure they would post to france.

I have found the seeds great this year and you seem to get a fair few, even with the Atlantic Giant pumpkin seeds I got a dozen seeds. They last till 2010 too.
