Good questions. I have had a number of individuals asking about plastic bags. To a man, literally, they said the size of landfill waste was insignificant. The idea here is to undermine the resolve of myself and other like-minds, mainly women.
In households, the purchasing and waste detail is a mainly female passtime so men are less exposed to the waste reality. I feel it is up to the fair sex and like-minded males (there are some) to push the waste reduction effort. In fact most of the active people I have seen in the media are female.
It is a bit of an exaggeration, I know, but this has been my experience and I am a zero waste enthusiast.

Been there, done that. Now my OH brews his own, so our bottles are recycled in the best way possible - they are quickly refilled. I've even had a bottle of rather good red thrust under my nose and been told; 'Drink it quick - I need the bottle'. The best part of this is he's completely tee-total so the fruits of his labours are all for me. :drunken:

A good day. Gary's fine was covered by an upright citizen's donation of the £200+ cash. If only the council would find a mechanism to remove the criminal record. An Appeal?
