I finally braved the weather and planted the garlic in the troughs today. Do they like sun(if we ever get any!) or would they be happy in shade. Its just I am limited to space, and would be better for me if I can put the troughs in the shade.

:flower:
Two things about garlic:

Garlic, according to folk knowledge, won't divide (bulbs into cloves) unless it's been hit by several degrees of frost - hence planting out in autumn. I don't know how true this is generally, but I do know that I've planted garlic in spring and harvested undivided bulbs. No cloves - but the stuff took off the back of my head. Wonderful!

The other thing is ...damn. Senior moment!!!! I cannot for the life of me remember what I was going to say. Probably a result of eating garlic planted in the spring. :confused4:
Hahahah... that really made me giggle!

I planted five varieties of garlic last Autumn and they are growing really well - thick and strong. I'm such a garlic-head, i love the stuff!!

it is a teeny tiny world we live in.

I adore garlic!!! And I'm sick of paying lots of money for something I can grow for practically nothing.
I'm a cheap, cheap person. You'll see this from other posts involving making things at home.

Still, I REALLY want to eat it RIGHT NOW!!!!!
