I love spicey/'hot' flavours,so I always grow Rocket.
As it's a 'Mediterranean' herb,it amazes me that it was still growing away in early December (albeit with flowers).
I like Coriander too (being a bit of a 'Curryholic').
Rather than buy a small, overpriced packet of seeds from a seed merchant,I thought that I'd nip into a local Chinese supermarket and buy a big bag of Coriander seed (I've sown and grown the 'eating' type before).
Trouble is-I was in rather a hurry, and inadvertantly picked up WHITE PEPPERCORNS instead!

Pepper is a tropical vine, so while the answer is yes, it may be difficult in your climate, or mine for that matter. We have a native pepper tree which I believe has been used in the past as a pepper substitute.

I have seen pepper vines in a greenhouse before. But I wonder - is the white pepper the "original" seed? I've got the feeling that the green stuff is immature, and the black somehow fermented - but is the white corn what would grow if you stuck it in the ground?
