Help with DIY 'greenhouse' madness

Post: # 95878Post Peggy Sue »

Am I mad or do I just need some sound advice?

I have a gazebo frame I want to sink into the ground int he corner of the garden, a sunny spot with fence on 2 sides.

My plan is to stick clear plastic on the roof and sides, maybe gaps between the sheets for a bit of ventilation?

Will this work for my aubergines & peppers do you think?

I don't see why not, I'll be doing something very similar this year - essentially it's no different than the Greenhouse shelves you can buy. I've successfully started seedlings off in those and grown tomatoes so peppers and aubergines should be fine.

my first greenhouse was made from old picket fencing 2x 1 for the frame, and clear plastic i blaged from work stapled to the frame it was great for 2 seasons,so best of luck with your peppers.

regards b&l

Go for it! It may not last very long, but it sounds like a perfectly good and SANE idea to me.
