We've got a glut at the moment - anyone know how to dry them or any good recipes?

We dry ours on the plant. I think I posted a recipe for broad bean puree (pulpa di fave) before now, if not I'll get round to posting it as it's really good and versatile (you can use it as a dip, eat it with a number of other things or fry it in a bubble and squeak kind of way).

Wot Cotadina said. Just leave them on the plant. You can pull the plant up and hang it upside down to dry of you like.

Hi Ginny....I have a ton of dried runner bean seed, and soak them overnight, and add to stews and casseroles in the slow cooker.
The white ones look best made into paste, and can be frozen.
Protein rich and so versatile. "Diet for a Small Planet" by Frances Moore Lappe is well worth getting.About combining vegetables to increase the protein level.
Leave only footprints..take only photographs and wabbits.
