Potatoes in containers - Now what?

Post: # 93864Post Clara »

So my bin-grown tatties are just starting to poke through, lmaybe a centimetre at most.

At what point am I supposed to earth them up - should I keep covering the stems as the emerge or should I let some leaves develop first?

According to what I've read recently, there should always be at least two inches of foliage poking through. Or was it four inches?

I always earth up so that only the top tiers and leaves are showing. I don't tink it really matters if it's too high. They will just keep growing though.
