Newbie jumping on the bandwagon

Post: # 92565Post Daisychain »

Hi everyone. just saying hello. Came across this site after reading the article in yesterdays Times (very good, by the way).
So, as the title suggests, I'm kind of half-hearted about this lifestyle. In principle I agree wholeheartly, but in reality, I'm a bit lazy.
I cook from scatch, don't eat meat and I recycle ( a bit).
Maybe this will give me the impetus to do a bit more!

Hi there Daisychain.

I also cook from scratch, dont eat meat and try to recycle. This is also my second year trying to grow my own.

I am sure you will find this site invaluable! And the more you read, the more you seem to make little changes. :flower:

It's the growing my own that's the problem. I have limited space and limited knowledge.
I have better luck with foraging. last year managed to get apples, pears, blackberries and blueberries. All from a public space! other people seem to walk past and not even notice all the stuff growing there.

It is surprising what you can manage to grow, even in a very limited amount of space.

All I have is a mini greenhouse (invaluable!) lots of pots and troughs and window sills. :flower:

Hiya Daisychain, welcome to the world of Ish! You are in the right place for inspiration (and consolation when things go wrong!).
