Hello, and welcome

I'm quite new too.

I've found the best way to get started on an allotment is to ask your fellow allotment holders their advice...sometimes you don't even have to ask! Have a good look at what's growing well and then just go for it. I personally prefer to start most things off in those module trays...especially cabbages etc, they tend to stand upto pests better.

A brilliant book for a laugh and reassurance when first starting an allotment is Alloted Time by Robin Shelton (it's in my local library so could be in yours)

Best of everything

Hiya, and welcome to the Ishers!

Does your name represent the animals you are aiming for?
