New farm Pond

Post: # 91712Post dudley »

Last summer we dug a pond for all our livestock. Pigs, cows, ducks and geese. If the Img works you will see it is quite big. We will still have to manage how the stock get access to it as we do not want it getting mucked up. It still has to be good for the wildlife. We plan to just plant native shrubs etc on the North side. We have been told to keep the south side open to the Sun is that correct? Image

Yes. Big yes. Let the sun get at it, otherwise .... well, you may like duckweed.
