Hi i am jessica from ireland and i think this site is fab, i try to be as selfsufficient as we can. we have hens and new tunnel 12 ft by 32 ft
and have a lot of seeds ready to go in, i am use to growing my own veg
has my parents always did. we also have 5 dogs and they are
notthing to do with being selfsufficient. also have fruit trees.

I've got one dog, one cat, 3 kids and one dp (dear/damn partner)

Planning our veg garden and also would like a polytunnel - garden is a blank canvas apart from the apple trees.

Hi i have 3 little pugs cussy, wilson, and poppins, and 2 boxers
billy and charlie, charlie is the newest one i took him out of the pound about a year ago and billy is a white boxer, no kids so i do foster a few dogs for animal rescues, last summer i had 16 little puppys that were born in the pound i sent them to donna in DBARK resuce centre in uk and they all got wonderfull homes.
We have 1 acre , but am trying to buy some more from the farmer at the back of us.
Some of my hens are rhode islands and my rooster is a rhode island
one of my hens had 2 little chicks about a week ago, i have the 3 of them in under ifa red bulb and are doing grand.

nev - hi..

not incubating the chicks - hoping that one or more of our hens will go broody. We've got unrelated cockerels doing their duty!

Likely tho, that we will buy some hatching eggs for geese later in the year... we've got a couple of incubators and had some success last year with ducklings!

Good to see somebody from Ireland! We've not had many from your neck of the woods so far, I think...

I'm also a future chicken owner - hopefully. Ducks and bees are planned, and I have two goats employed as lawnmowers, hedge clippers and commedians. And a cat which keeps the rabbits, pigeons and pheasants in check in the garden.
