Plans for the weekend?

Post: # 90591Post SarahJane »

I was just being nosey really! I was wondering what plans you had for the Easter weekend in the garden.
Its also a way of finding out if there is something I should be planting etc. Or jobs I should be doing. I am still a novice at all this.

my father alway used top say "plant your potatoes on Good Friday, and lift them on the first day of the races" (that was before the races were on all year). So plant potatoes!

The weather's supposed to be rubbish so I might just spend a day catching up with all the Ssish I've missed over the past few weeks.

Tsk, tsk.... These youngsters!

I'll be working, too; and, as has been mentioned, the weather is supposed to be baaaaad - so goodness knows whether I'll get anything done in the garden!

I hope to be able to get out to the garden for a while, if I do... I will be perhaps constructing a fence, perhaps burning stuff, perhaps planting onions, maybe some theraputic weeding...

If the weather doesn't permit I will most likely be sitting in the house knitting.

outdoors(weather allowing): fencing, digging. digging. digging. seed sowing, logging, clearing up rubble from dead wall, maybe a spot of repointing

indoors (if too pants to do outdoors): repointing (inside), washing and dyeing fleece, ripping kitchen apart and intalling cooker

either way: keeping an eye on sheep, who are not far off lambing.

There will be twelve of us in the house this weekend!
Aged father's 70th Birthday on Sunday so bothers and sisters, neices and nephews all coming for the weekend and a party! :wav:

Had hoped to get the men folk to work creating a drain for my 'moat' (No, that bloomin' spring hasn't stopped - we're keeping it at bay with a large pond pump going 24/7) but, if the weather is gastly they'll all be inside no doubt!

Well the carlins have been chitted so we'll prob plant those. And my lovely friend is paying us a visit tomorrow so we'll have to have a party and then we've decided to have another party on Saturday with a bonfire if it's dry, then on Sunday we'll probably go and pick up the alpaca poo we've been offered on freecycle (and see the alpacas too). On Monday I think I'll just sleep - unless ceiling cat pays a visit and wakes me up!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
