I craved them while pregnant with my 1st and loved dipping veggie babies (jelly babies for vegies) in. Quite disgusting I know, thankfully that 'taste' went but I still LOVE the creme eggs and as a non-nestle, and a veggie I am already limited on Sweeties!! Well one less ain't conna make much difference! I will write to them tonight I NEED them to go free range!!!!!
Behind every sucessful man is an fantastic woman!
Not sure who first said it or exact words but so very true!!
Noodles were one that took me by surprise. I don't know why, they even call them 'egg noodles', but somehow it was only a few months ago I actually thought about it....
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?
I'm another one who didn't know they had real egg in!!
I'm usually pretty up with these things but it just didn't occur to me.
I LOVE creme eggs but gave up eating eggs a month or so ago so it's a good job I saw this post.
Signed this petition with gusto and forwarded it to everyone in my address book.
As a chocolate lover I don't want my treat to have caused pain and
suffering to any animal! Please would you change to free range eggs!
Thanks
I signed it Terry x didn't intend to add a kiss - they prob' think I'm mad!
Cadbury’s reply; -
Thanks for your recent enquiry regarding the very small amount of egg we
use in our Crème Eggs.
We are currently exploring the option of using only free-range eggs in
our recipe. There are issues, however, around supply and traceability so
it's not possible at the moment, but it is certainly an option we are
considering.
We do appreciate your feedback and please be assured that no comments go
unheard.
Thank you once again for taking the time and trouble to contact us.
Regards
Charlie
Not sure what they mean by 'issues' or why only containing a very small amount egg makes it ok
btw I don't eat them either, I agree they're discusting but Cadbury don't know that!
It will be interesting to see if you all get the same reply!

What do you think they mean by traceability? Supply I can understand - for supply, read cost. But traceability? FR eggs are as traceable as battery or organic as far as I am aware.

Nope Hamster I love them. But in the past I was only feeling guilty about what they were doing to my teeth and my waistline. Now I'm feeling guilty about the battery eggs in them too...
Just added my signature to the petition because I want to start eating them again...
