Best of luck with your course....

I'm waiting to find out whether I've got the funding to start my degree in Environmental Studies with the Open University....

Should know within next few days... fingers crossed!!!!

Shirlz, that sounds FANTASTIC. I wanted to do an OU course, but, quite frankly it was all a bit scary! I looked at the environmental ones with lust! If this course goes well, there may be no stopping me. Good luck with the financing - it's the MOST scary bit. :flower:

Will let you know how it goes IF I get the funding....

I applied last year and would have been fine with the funding,,,, until I told them that we had moved from England to Scotland.... different rules!! Would have qualified in England, but not in Scotland...

Circumstances have changed and my partner and I are both unemployed at the moment, so hopefully will be ok this time.

First part is Technology for a sustainable future and sounds VERY interesting indeed....

Well I I got my course through today! At first I was a little daunted, but read through the study notes and flicked through the first lesson and feel a bit better - it's challenging but not completely perplexing!

The first lesson is about vegetables which I want to do better at growing this year, so that's great!
