No, also here it's not so cold anymore. Gobal warming has arrived I'm afraid. This sucks actually. The problem never really was the cold or the mass of snow, but the darkness when we don't have snow.

The language certainly is a challenge, but it doesn't kill. ;-) Most people here speak also English.

There was no bureaucracy moving here. Just the usual getting registered. No big deal.

Wie geht's?
Just started a German course from The Open University. Vergessen, that's one verb I won't forget, but as for the other words !!! I remember doing the speaking part of A level German exam on the environment in 1991, though can I remember the words for environment, recycling.... ?

I even went camping in Germany with a youth group - we went to the Wattenmeer and did a day trip to Helgoland. We did a protest against plans to use the beach as a car park (something about squashing sandhoppers ?).
