Hi,
I am Arimiel or rather Lisa- the crazy german that regulary beats herself up about her terrible grasp of her favourite langauage. So do not mind my comments, my bad spelling and grammar... 9 years of only schools english weren't very productive...
I am currently 19 and likely one of the youngest here.. so most of my knowledge is rather second hand than expirience....
I lived in a little village till I was 11 but then we moved twice till what remained of my family made itself a nest in Bremen...
I would rather live back in my village with all the gossipers and criminals that made my childhood an adventure...
I am becoming selfsufficientish on m balconery because its the only place in my rooms which isn't overun by books.... :geek:
I do mostly reading... but I dream to write some awesome book to get the money for my own little selfsufficientish farm...
Well... i hope I can do it fast because (spoken with the true impatience of youth) i do not want to work till I am 60 to suddenly realise that there isn't any slightly natural place to live left...well....
I hope we will have fun togehter here
(I told you already in the beginning but for good measure...english is only my second language.... please forgive me my small and big mistakes :cooldude: )

Hi and Welcome. I also think that your english is pretty good. It is such a pleasure to see someone so young on the forum and interested in a self-sufficienisht lifestyle. I love your courage and look forward to catching up some more. PS I did my equestrian training in Germany and I can tell you my German is no where as good as your english.

You came for your equestian training the whole way up/down :cooldude: to germany?Do/Did you ride in competions?
Which part of this little country did you live in? I hope you were south..... my homestead is pretty boring..... and unnatural.... the north of the lower saxon is pretty much wrung out of swamps and wrestled out of the sea.... so its mostly pasture... flat.... wide.. full of fences.... and a few trees and many houses in between.... famouse for its sheep, cows, and Rhododendron..... yuck.... why do people love a flower/scrub that is oly beautifull for 2weeks up to a month and then pretty useless... and quite ugly..
Lol.. i love to make my coutry looking bad.... the only really good thing is the sailor delicacy Labskaus..... potatos and corned beef mashed together served with fried egg and gherkins (sometimes with "matjes"/Soused herring and beetroot).... :lol:

Moin, moin, Lisa - you are not the only German here! However, I live in Scotland...

Don't run down my favourite part of Germany - I love the North, flat as it is! And last time I was there I didn't see that much Rhododendron, either - far less than there is here, anyway!
