We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hello from Shrewsbury

Post: # 82875Post Ann-Louise »

I have been looking at this web site for a few months and have finally plucked up the courage to introduce my self. I have been interested in the self-sufficent life style for about 30 years(!!) and have done the best I can. Growing fruit and veg etc. I live on a 1980's housing estate and I think I am the only person who actually grows vegetables. It was fantastic finding this web site full of people who think the same way I do.
It is my intention to throw caution to the wind and sell up and move out to the country to carry out what I have always wanted and live the most self sufficient life style I can. (Although in this country it is not possible to be completly self-sufficient, but I can be self-reliant).
I am a vegan, and do not own either a car or a mobile phone, and I am pretty sure I am looked upon as wierd or eccentric and I hope there are other members who are as weird and eccentric as me.
I look forward to hearing from all the weirdos and eccentrics out there.
