Although my husband Len is retired now he is kept very busy repairing and maintaining our old farmhouse & helping with the gardening.
I love gardening, cooking, art and crafts work. We both like to read, listen to music, walking, visiting friends and watching TV.
I am vegetarian but Len isn’t though he usually eats veggie with me. Most of our food is fresh and organic and we grow most of our vegetables in the garden. We have three mad free range hens who provide us with eggs. Unfortunately, they cause havoc, digging up my flowers and eating the lettuces! We recycle and compost just about everything possible!

I stumbled accross self sufficientish looking for info on why my hens have been off lay for so long (weather too cold, birds too old).
