everyone goes on about this now and then, but no one ever tells you what to look out for...or the symptoms?! can someone please enlighten me?

dead birds I think are the main sign..

according to this defra factsheet there is swelling to the heads, and the combs take on a blue colour, they stop laying,, etc
pictures there too.

but some birds can have it without signs...
