A friend of mine has one - and she does all the heating (big house) plus hot water on waste wood. And her house is always warmer than mine!

I've got an old calor gas heater, but that has it's own problems: smell of gas (cat hates it), and I did once manage to set off the fire alarm with it. Not in my house, unfortunately - I had taken it across to the sheep shed in lambing time, as the office was freezing cold. The fire alarm there is linked to some central security firm - but I managed to stop the fire fighters from coming out!
