Bonjour from France

Post: # 78904Post Green Rosie »

Hi there everyone.

OH and I moved to France in August and our plan is to create 2 green holiday homes (eco-gites) whilst living a much more green lifestyle.

We have started a large fruit and veg patch and are awaiting delivery of the polytunnel. Over time we plan to gradually add animals (chooks, sheep and maybe pigs and goats). We want to install rainwater harvesting, have solar panels, re-use grey water etc etc. LOTS and LOTS to do but so much better than being stuck in the South East.

Looking forward to getting to know you and tapping into your wealth of knowledge - I already recognise some names from other forums

Thanks for all the welcomes

Millymollymandy - We are in Calvados, nearest bigger town being Vire. Where are you in Brittany? We must nearly be neighbours

I know Vire. We are in dept 35, Ille et Vilaine, north north west of Rennes by about 30km!

Tis very cold this morning and my cold water pipe for the kitchen and downstairs bathroom has frozen!

Water is very slow going down the sink - methinks it may be backing up and freezing. That'll be a nice job to sort out in the morning :(

Need to look up on the map where you are - my french geog is no good at all - but I think we class as neighbours "ish"
