Purple cauliflowers

Post: # 76619Post Chickenlady »

I bought one from the farm shop yesterday and cooked it today. I was really purple, clashing with its own green leaves. When I cooked it it turned blue. It tasted identical to white cauliflower, but was much more interesting to the kids so they actually ate it!

Has anyone ever grown anything like this? I am thinking of giving it a bash next year.

Yes, we're growing them for the 1st time at the moment. We're growing white, purple, and Romanesca (pointy green). They all seem to grow pretty much the same.
