We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

I'm back!

Post: # 75566Post Chickenlady »

It has been so long since I contributed much I thought I had better say hello again!

I am Jane from north Essex, yoga teacher, childminder, mum. DH is the gardener, growing quite a lot or our fruit and veg. I tend to do the girlie stuff - cooking, preserving, etc. We have 4 ex-farm Hyline chickens and hope for some more in the spring. No room for any other livestock, sadly, but I would love some sheep!

I am getting into crafts when I have time - rag rugging and soapmaking at the moment. I like the rag rugging as it is practical recycling.

I do find that it is more difficult to be self sufficientish when I am already busy, but I hang on in there. This is why I haven't been on here much. I hope to find a bit more time to chat in the near future! :flower:

Hello, nice to see you back.
I'd love to hear more about your rag rugging - it's something that's always apealed to me. I can remember my gran making rag rugs.
