Clocks change in Europe
I know after Nov 4th here in Canada its going to be getting dark much earlier and our high school kids will be catching the bus in the semi-dark in the morning and getting home just as it gets dark.
We've got a trailer to demolish, hoping to get it done this week, but Rick has 2 other jobs to go to.
I am not a great fan of winter, but looking on the bright side, its only 127 days until the clocks go forward again

It annoys the **** out of me for two reasons.
The first is the change itself. One hour doesn't sound like much, but it throws the day's routine on the croft completely out of kilter. Gradually changing day lengths result in gradually changing seasonal routine, but change the time by an hour and everything goes to pieces for a few weeks.
The second problem is that it's much better to have the light in the evening, when I'm finishing the work and chores, than to have it in the morning. It's much easier to start farm work in the dark and work into the light.
Of course, I could ignore clocks altogether (not hard as I don't have a watch, mobile phone or clock) but then I'd be totally out of synch with society instead of partially out of synch.

Clocks change here in Europe
OH yeah I hear from a lot of Mum's here that the kids get so cranky during the adjustment time, and I remember feeling it myself. Its going to throw my chickens and equines off too, meals will be arriving at a different time and it puts me off because I have S.A.D. and can't afford to rent one of those lights.
It'll be a muck-up for a week or so until we get adjusted.

Try taking some Vitamin D, 1-3 thousand units a day
It does help some.
