Hello from the far west

Post: # 74909Post teraivyyr »

Hi there,
We live in the far west of Cornwall (half a mile further and you fall off the cliffs at the end) in a little cottage with just a woodburner for heating; hoping to get an allotment sometime soon. Interested in growing food and finding it too.
Meras (thank you in Cornish.)

Welcome to the site

good luck on your allotment hunt, have you not got a garden? There are alot of folks on here who live in flats with no garden or allotment, it is amazing what theycan manage with hardley any space.

Your place sounds lovely, are you suffering badley from the cold weather?

Thanks very much for the welcome.
Still not particularly cold down here, we hardly ever get frost as we are so close to the sea.
We have a very small garden, but only grow herbs in it so far. There are two large trees taking up a lot of the space! But my partner spent this summer building a large conservatory at the back, west facing, and hopefully next year we can grow some things like tomatoes in there.
Now looking for a new woodburner - isn't there a discussion on those here somewhere?
