Hi Sky, and welcome.
Just wondering if you have found a good satellite supplier? We are looking into that too, for when we move, http://www.farmside.co.nz/ seemed the best for where we are.
Nice to see another NZer here!

Hi
This is what Farmside sent me, obviously better rates if you are a CRT or similar shareholder...
In regards to your email please find below all the details on our services. As you may know Farmside works along side a lot of the rural sector and we have 100 % coverage of the entire country using our satellite Broadband service. We work with a lot of different co-operatives e.g. RD1, Farmlands, CRT and ATS and have different pricing and structure with them. I have included the standard Farmside pricing and the Co-op pricing for you to have a look at. Wireless/Satellite broadband: Standard installation $499 excl and $129 excl per month for a 1GB plan at 256kbps Download & 128kpbs Upload. (CRT, Farmlands & RD1) Co-op installation $399 excl and $89 excl per month for a 1 GB plan at 256kbps Download & 128kpbs Upload. We also have up to 9 pricing plans available with different speeds and Data caps etc.
HTH!

Hiya Sky, and welcome to the ishers!
I hope you have more luck with satellite than we've had - we had a satellite connection at work, and it was very dodgy... Mind you, snow filled satellite dishes might not be a problem for you
, but ours didn't seem to like other weather conditions, either - and somebody seemed to hog our satellite, which made it extremely slow at times - the providers never found out why!
We are now finally on broadband, and it's a world of difference.

Took me a while but I'm back, I've got the house sorted and also the local work but the soil here is like cement .... no joking it's so hard it would need a pick axe to even plant something.
So just lately I've been working full on to pay the bills and what not but I need ideas on how the heck I can grow veggies here .... we have thousands of pine trees so I said to the hubby that we should cut some down and build raised beds to put soil in (we'd have to buy it in mind)
Anyways just wanted to say hi again before I start posting in ernest :-)
