I was hoping that nobody would remember!

Not doing great.... but definitely getting better... not going to be a quick thing this weight loss - but I AM fitting into my old jeans again even though the scales don't seem to suggest that I should be.... but something is changing anyway and I feel BETTER :D

Shirlz, Ive been back at slimming world for 3 weeks, and Ive lost 3.5lb, which isnt much. I was really surprised to find that Ive lost an inch from my waist and 2 inches from my thighs, in just 3 weeks

Can I join? Please? Can I?

I started slimming world about 5 weeks ago and, so far, have lost just over 11 lbs. I'm really pleased and kinda getting the hang of it now.

I'll join.

The nurse at my pre-op thingy measured me and weighed me and got my height wrong, so my BMI according to her is way over what it should be.

Come on ladies - spur me on! I work every evening so can't go to slimming world (don't want to really - i want to lose size!! If i find out what weight i am, i'm likely to stop eating, so i'll be measuring this by dress size).

I'd like to be a size 12-14 really, i was that size once and it felt nice. Maybe a 10-12, but nothing smaller. That gives me 2-4 sizes to lose (i'm currently a 16-18).

Hi Fee
I've set my target at Slimming World in terms of dress size. I use the weight as a guide to how well I'm doing but you can also measure inches and monitor it that way.

You might find that there is a daytime session near you. I can ask my group leader if you want. See if she knows.

I've lost 12 lbs so far

Y'See, i know the lady who runs the slimming world classes here, and i can't stand the sight of her to be honest - she has a habit of announcing things such as 'you haven't lost this week, but its ok, its your star week' and complaining when people go on holiday.

I really do believe that if i know my weight, it will be detrimental to my health. I'm a big build (typical farmers wife...shame i've not met the right farmer yet!!) and i think that if i knew my weight, it'd send me into a stopping eating mode. So i'd rather do it on my own and am to get into smaller size clothes. I've got a couple of pairs of trousers that i love dearly, but are just that bit oo small, so if can fit into them soon, then that'll be great!

I don't want to do overly fast inch loss either - i can't afford to get a new wardrobe that quickly!!

I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't lose weight too quickly. It's counterproductive. You either end up denying yourself too much so you just binge out when you reach your target and put it all back on again. Alternatively, you end up going all crinkly and saggy as your skin hasn't had a chance to shrink with the rest of you.

The best way to lose weight is the way that suits you (if that makes sense).

Call-Ups!

There are a few females on the forum (and it is females - not seen any males) talking about their weight, and how they could do with losing a few pounds.

So..being one of them, and being one of those people that needs constant motivations and reasons not to reach for the chocolate, i vote we re-start Team TTT.

That way, we can all do it together and hopefully, be slimmer forum members by Christmas (so we can all put it back on again  ).
