I steralise my jam jars by filling them up with boiling water and lettig them stand while i make the jam.

nooo, i didn't mean that, i was listing the stuff you yourself were going to put into it, not what was in it originally. Glass is easily sterilised no matter what was in it originally, chuck it in in boiling water for 5 mins will kill off anything that has a hope of living.Peggy Sue wrote:Ooh does this mean I shouldn't have used a jar that had sour cream in it?
