Aggghhh whats eating my leeks

I went up to the lottie the other day to find my newly planted baby leeks all but gone. Anybody have any idea what may be munching on them?

I have some more i can put in but wondered if there was anything I could do to help stop whatever is eating them - slugs / snails maybe?

i didnt think slugs or snails ate onion things,maybe wrong.
