How cool is that!! We have a photo of the same bench and the same duck in different venues. Thanks for sharing M3 (have to say your pond/lake looks a lot nicer than ours tho!)

I've been waiting days for a duck to pose for me in the right place!!! Your pond is pretty cool too. It's nice having a full pond this year isn't it? Though glad it is BBQ weather this weekend!

Have to say the pond is rapidly going down already. We use the water from a source which also tops the pond up so with no rain of late, watering the garden & general household usage the ducks are able to walk to the middle now! Still forecast is thunderstorms tomora - top those waterbutts back up - but yes, been lovely to be able to BBQ and play in the pool for a change.

I didn't know it was drier where you are as I thought most of France had had all this rain..... our stream is still flowing so the excess is going down the overflow so it is quite a novelty having the sound of running water in summer!

It's one of the reasons I've been rather enjoying the cooler wet weather, because the pond looks great!

Oh we had plenty of wet weather too, just seems that once the sun is out, the pond dries up really quickly unfortunately. There are 4 houses here that all use the water for personnal use. Have been thinking about getting connected to mains but its just another bill to worry about. The ducks are keen when the water level drops as the can see to eat all the frogs & fish - quite revoltingly, they grab a frog leg each (oh how very french lol) and pull until it rips apart, then they eat it
