Today i met a lady

Who is quite lovely!!

We've been getting eggs from her for a while - she leaves them on a troley and charges Â£1 per dozen.

Tonight, i had a bit of an egg emergency - i had creamed the butter and the sugar together ready to make biscuits...and then i realised i had no eggs!! So, i went to her, and she was in luckily.

I apologies profusely for disturbing her, but i was having an egg related emergency, and she was the only one who could help me!!

So she took me to her barn - it was great! She's got ex-battery hens, and some japanese hens, and some ducklings (they're so cute!) and she's got kittens and puppies, and rabbits, and a couple of ponies!!

I gave her the web address, so i hope she joins - shes looking at getting some pigs next year, and branching out into veg growing too.

It might seem a bit strange, but its nice to meet someone else selfsufficientish (admittedly, she's way way ahead of me!!) in the area.
