How "not hot"? Not a hint of heat or just mild compared to what you are used to? Either way, they would probably be great sliced up in salads (or on other foods) as a garnish, adding a bit of colour.

They are not hot at all, not even a wifter of spicy. Going to see if they will grow large so I can stuff them  otherwise, yes, garnish is about it. Thanks Wulf

Looking macho in front of friends?
If you end up with tonnes of them make a pepper and sundried tomato chutney.

They will get hotter the more sun that they get, so if they are in a pot, put them on your sunniest windowsill

I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to peppers so I grow mild ones

what variety are yours?

I read somewhere that stressed plants generate heat so maybe be cruel, let them dry out a bit? :?

They won't get hot - they are just stupid chilli shaped peppers. I made the mistake of buying six of the plants 2 years ago; oh they looked so beautiful but were a complete waste of space and went on the compost. They don't get thick juicy skins like peppers so are no use in salads, and still have all those annoying little seeds to get off the skins.

They even sell the bloody things in the supermarket labelled as chillies, which makes me furious. As I don't want to bite into one to check, just in case :pale: , I can't know until I get home.

I did buy the right kind of chilli plant this year but it died. I'll stick to powder or sauce in future!

You could pickle them for an authentic doner kebab experience in the comfort of your own home ;)

So M3 u have been fooled by the non-hot chilli plant too lol. They are a bit of a waste of space eh? Perhaps the chickens will eat them then!

What colour are they? A couple of years ago I had a glut of pretty red and yellow chilis. I strung them around a wreath and made a really eye-catching Christmas decoration.

You can always bottle them in oil or vinegar and give them away as presents.

Alternatively give away the whole plant as a present or sell them - they look pretty.

They will go red in time if you want to use them in decorations, which is probably about the best use for them!
