I have just worked out

Post: # 65101Post the.fee.fairy »

That...

I work for approximately 42.5 hours a week, and i have 2.5 hours break. That means i'm looking at a screen for 40 hours a week...

And people wonder why i want to get out of the race.

Fee - health and safety guidelines say that you should take regular breaks if you do computer work. It's not good for your eyes to stare at a screen constantly and it can cause headaches as well.

You should take a break at least once an hour for 5 or 10 minutes.

Please get into the habit of doing it now before you do any permanent damage.

Cheers
Zoe

Its the old story....even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat!

The thing is that they still class an eye rest as wrok - you have to be shuffling papers or something - still close range.

Legally, they're doing their duty telling you to rest your eyes - by doing something else close range at your desk...

I think i need a new job...
