Pickled Beetroot

Well I have done it I pickled up 5 jars of beetroot yesterday it is the first time I have ever done it and got cheers all round from my soon to be hubby and also my dear friend. Not to bad if I do say so myself.
Another step towards self sufficiency :hello1:

I am now on the hunt for some pickling onions and more beetroot of course mine are not ready yet the ones I pickled came from the market but they were the right price :flower:

I used to use the recipe out of "the Commonsens Cookbook" which was pretty basic, which one did you use?

Hey Nev,
I used a really old recipe similar to my Nanas would you like me to send you a copy?
The variations at the bottom are to adjust the base recipe for pickling Onions ect. :flower:
