erm - I could be being very dim here - especially with my very shaky sense of geography and being useless on the internet thingy - but please could someone just give me a location??? :?

Wake up! She's already had the link, and out of interest I've been looking through it too.

I've looked for 10 minutes and I've got as far as finding out it is held at a farm somewhere around the Mendips. (Now because my mum lives in Somerset I've heard of the Mendips, but where exactly I haven't a clue).

Milims just wants to know WHERE it is, and WHEN it is, not have to navigate a bloody website to find out (which doesn't actually tell you anyway).

Martin and Fee, you ought to know the answers because you are going there! Please make it simple for others!

Woo Hoo - looks like we could be planning a holiday!! We spoke recently about taking the kids to Wookie Hole and we have a friend in the area and that combined with BGG sounds like just what a good holiday is made of!!

if anyone's interested, my partner-in-crime's "'er indoors" jumped the gun, and lashed out for a couple of tickets, caravan pass and car park pass, and got them for a whole £10 off (£270 instead of £280).......as we are part of the "attractions" we get freebies, so if anyone wants to save a few bob - yell!

I'm not sure exactly where it is

I get the coach from london, and we go past Stonehenge on the way!
It's abot 20 mins away from Cheddar - there's the Big Red Bus that goes there from BGG for essential shopping opportunities (well, not a lot, but there's a shop there that sells stuff, and a chippy - i love the chippy!).

Sorry i can't be much more help, i don't drive, so i never have to work out how to get to places, just the nearest bus/train.

I think martins map shows quite clearly where it is ,I usually get there through chedder gorge its quite a twisty turny road so dont go to fast ,but you have the chance to see the gorge and go to the event at the same time .

just stay on the B3135 and you will get to it , the other way the big red bus gets to it is through burrington down the B3134 then onto the B3135.
There are sign posts and there should be gate crew and traffic management people out on the gates .

I think the gates are closed at 10 at night thats pretty usual in festivals so take that into account if your travelling a long way , what they usually ask is that people wait in lay byes if the gates are shut then come in the next morning ,they do this to stop people moving around the site in vehicles waking people up and being dangerous .

Hi Johnny

thanks for the directions by car.
Any directions for the likes of us that are using public transport to reach the event?

We're getting the train to Stratford from here (stansted airport) and then from Straford to Richmond, and then there's the BGG coach going from Richmond to the site itself.

If you have a look on the transport pages of the website, there's a few coaches going from different points around the UK, if you can get a bus or train from one of them, then you're sorted! You can stick all your bags in the caoch's hold and sit back and relax for a few hours.

Where are you? If you're anywhere near us, you're more than welcome to meet us at Stratford/Richmond and we'll travel the rest of the way together.

right, so i used my brain a bit and looked where you are.

There are buses going from:

BGG Coaches from Bristol, Brighton, London, Swansea, Manchester, Birmingham, Exeter and Glastonbury

So Manchester or Birmingham look most promising. Depends on where you are i suppose.

The invitations extends to anyone getting the coach at Richmond BTW, get in touch and we'll be happy to travel with you

We've nearly finished the sign (see: homemade/crafts etc) so keep an eye out for it.

We've got a tepee tent (the Eurohike one from Millets) and we're having the sign up like a windbreak on one side.

Everyone is welcome to camp with us, and as soon as we have the tent up, we'll be sorting out cups of tea, so bring a mug!
