Solstice at Stonehenge

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Ta for the links Pskipper.

We've got our travel sorted out at last! It's going to take us roughly 5 hours to get to the campsite!! The site's an hour out of salisbury by bus, so we're going to get there about 2ish, then leave again at 6 to make sure we're at the bus station in Salisbury for 8 when the Solstice bus leaves.

Should all be good fun though!

Your telling me  Last time I went we could barley get anywhere near the stones and the row of traffic trying to get in was horrendous.

last time I went they seemed to be arresting people for nothing .

They took my kip mat off me that I was going to sit on, and a security guy said he was going to get the police to arrest me for having a candle in a candle holder this is like a small metal ball you can hold in one hand with a tea light inside.
He called it a naked flame I said no it wasnt as it was in a container and the people smoking had naked flames why didnt he arrest them .
Id asked earlier what I could take in and was told the kip mat and candle holder were ok .

avebury is much better less cops less drunk annoying people, I did see someone try to attack the stones at stonehenge with a hammer and the crowd turned on them .
how that place attracts drunks is amazing so if you havent been to stonehenge before Id say go, but try out avebury you may like it more and you have great bluebell woods near avebury too

Have fun Feefairy, I won't be able to make it this year as I've got to go on a training course at work :( I will be driving past on my way to work however as I have the pleasure of doing that every day (except fridays when the 303 turns into a carpark and I take the back roads)
