Hello from Yorkshire

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hello from Yorkshire

Post: # 61311Post Meredith »

I've been browsing these forums for ages and getting useful information and now I think it's time to get involved.

I grow as much of my own produce as I can, I keep chickens and three ducks and am just about to get my first nucleus of bees. I do a disproportionate amount of shopping to call myself self sufficient but we all have to have a dream to aspire to. Mine is to get a goat.

I look forward to talking to others with similar interests to mine. I find that most people's eyes glaze over when I enthuse about such things.

Meredith.

Welcome Meredith! I, too, find it difficult to rationalise my yearn to shop with my yearn to be self-sufficient ... in the end I have found it is best to just ignore the contradiction.
