Retired gardener, into self sufficency since John Seymour.
Latest project Sun Cookers (first year 2006 and now refining the system)
Do own garden and lots of foraging.
Freecycling too and came to here from downsizer.
Age 71 , hope I can keep up with you all.

Now, I used to know an Archie when I lived in west Norfolk (over 20 years ago), and I guess he would now be about your age. But he was a metalworker, not a gardener, so unless you had a change of career, I guess you're not the same guy.

Enough, enough...... thank you muchly, very international. Am on Freecycle West Norfolk as Archie. Did gardens for twenty years, really am gardened out. More into saving money, aka Moneysavingexpert.com, Martin Lewis's site , eeking out the pension.

Welcome-from a Canadian freecycling nut, rabid composter and garden fiend :mrgreen:

I've been here since March and I love it. Don't worry about your age, I've got a friend who is 90 and gardening and talking of getting chickens! :lol:

We help him when we can, lots of retired gardeners here where I live, we have several friends in their 80's still putting in a garden and putting up the produce.

Thank you for the welcome, not far off Thetford, and did Admin for 30 years before gardening.
\Have folks in Canada Luis, went there in 1948, literally built their own log cabin, so The Good Life even then.Cheers
