The commercials say that it breaks down fast, so is not a danger. Is this not true then? The crops that tolerate Roundup, like corn here in the USA, take up the chemical and retain it, it doesn't breakdown?

Thanks for this.

The idea that it biodegrades quickly is great, but don't forget if farmers are regularly applying it, it's continuously there as one lot breaks down the next is being applied.

Unfortunately extended studies like these need a lot fo time to happen and also you need a very large cross section before you can start to pull out useful data.

No, seriously: I remember that in Denmark roundup was banned, or its use severely restricted some years ago - don't know whether that is still the case, but that kind of made me think it wasn't all as good as it was made out to be!

just read some figures for quantities of chemicals used and the toxicity of said chemicals - scary stuff.
its totally reinforced my commitment to 100% organic growing....
