I may have found some turkeys
I want them mainly as pets so not interested int he traditional meat breeds. I have found some very unusual ones from a top breeder/exhibitor who can also give me guidance as to breeding results and genetics. I can always buy poults of a meat breed to rear for my family and friends Xmas dinners. Watch this space.

i had 20 turkeys a few years ago, they were great to look after, but they can drop dead for no reason :( we eat most for x-mas but i kept 2 as pets. they lived a happy life in the field with my chickens too! until the fox struck one night and had the lot :pale:

my past turkeys never dropped dead luckily and the last pet one I had lived to be around 14 years old.
