Hello from the Lincolnshire Fens

Post: # 56444Post freecyclelyn »

Hi folks,

I am the Group "Owner"/ Moderator of South Holland Freecycle in South Lincolnshire.
This forum has been recommended to me by a member of our Freecycle Café group so I thought I'd better join rather than just lurking.

Anyway, I have 5 children aged between 4 and 12, a husband who puts more recycling out than the whole street do, I am a pet I.D Microchipper. We run a guinea pig and small animal rescue which currently consists of 40+ Guinea Pigs, 10 cats, 8 dogs, 4 rabbits, 3 ferrets and other small critters and also a pony on loan too.

I'm hoping to learn from your recycling ideas as I really feel we must do something to keep our countryside lovely for our children.........Who wants landfill sites and ex-landfill sites which are grassed over artificial hills which somehow get renamed as country parks??

Pleased to "meet" you all.
Lyn

Hello and welcome to the site. Freecycle is a wonderful idea, what did we do before it?

we tend to post in the 101 uses for recycling ideas. 101 uses for a bread bag etc etc.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of my local freecycle group! It's something I've been doing for years with friends and anything they can't use has gone to the charity shops so it's great to reach a wider circle of what are fast becoming friends!
This a great site full of fantastic information and everyone here is really helpful. Look forward to seeing you around.

Hiya Lyn

:welcomeish:

Freecycle is great!! We're off to the Wild Waste show at Haddo

I realise that is WAY out of your area but thought you might be interested to hear that our local Freecycle groups are holding a stall there - a freecycle version of a bring and buy - bring something along and swap it for something else, oh, and meet a few fellow freecycle members at the same time.
