Interesting clip, Nev. Reminds me of the toilets we had as a youngster on the farm!
I have a friend who is 'interested' in what she calls the 'semi-rural' lifestyle. The thing is, while she likes the romantic idea of the flowers and the gardens and the lack of traffic and the birdsong etc, when we were looking at some properties in Tasmania and I pointed out that they had no town sewage or water (but did have good bores/pumps and dams plus self-composting toilets etc) she went green and decided that the all-out-urban lifestyle was more her scene! LOL
Nev, I need to ask you (Sorry to change the topic) with your pot in pot fridges, do both pots have drainage holes and, if so, do you get much 'seepage' of water from them ... or does the sand retain most of it?
PS Oh look, I am now a Tom Good! I feel so proud! :)

If you want to be happy for a day, buy a car. If you want to be happy for a weekend, get married. If you want to be happy for a lifetime, be a gardener.
Hey Cornelian,
No both pots have their drainage holes plugged by putty, with a peice of plastic over them to make sure they stayed in place.
