Hi from Stroud!
Hi,
Just to introduce myself, I'm a first time gardening who is sharing an allotment of sorts with a friend, and growing vegetables for the first time ever!
We are trying to go organic, and on a steep learning curve (broad beans don't climb? Who knew!) which we are hoping will level out!
Other than that, I'm a 33 year old mother of one daughter, aged 13. I' m a nurse, working in various places, married with dogs!

Hiya Littlebluefish!
:welcomeish:
I know all about that learning curve - it doesn't stop, just gets slightly less steep, but it's a very enjoyable one nonetheless.
Looking forward to the tales from your allotment.

Hello
Don't ever worry about the stupid questions - they're not stupid if you need the answer!
its my second year growing veg properly (i'm no-where near self sufficient though) and i think i've got the basics sorted, but there's still a lot to learn.
One bit of advice: invest in slug traps!

Welcome littlebluefish - I am very new as well, but loving this forum - it is so friendly and informative.
Gardening is like the first stages of an affair- you never lose the urge to explore and learn, and it always gives back far more than you ever put in. But better than affair, it never grows tired and jaded. :)
