can you wean lambs onto silage or haylage, or does it have to be hay? Where we live, we can find no one who is willing to sell us a bale of hay - they only seem to have haylage. It is probably OK, but I dont want to risk doing anything wrong that could harm the lambs.
another thing - can you attach photos on these messages? if so, how?
I need help with lambs - again!

Put the pics onto somewhere like Photobucket. They'll then make a link for you (something like [img] blah blah [ /img]). copy and paste the link in your message, and you should be sorted!
If you're worried about it going wrong, have a go in practice and deleted first.

Aren't they out on grass? Ours just get weaned onto that - no hay or silage until winter (if they make it that far).CrazyParrot wrote:can you wean lambs onto silage or haylage, or does it have to be hay?
