Hi from Essex

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hi from Essex

Post: # 53830Post tim_n »

Whilst not sufficient in anyway including the ish I am trying my best!

Started an allotment (and blog, see www.waark.com)
Recycling both at home (with parents till I move into my flat may 1st) and the office (though for some reason everyone thinks the cleaners are responsible for this green move)
Cycling more and more
Maintaining my car myself - doing regular checks to maintain peak efficiency for my pocket and by preventing problems that hurt the enviroment too!

I'm also doing my best to arrange a slightly more rounded education to my scout group by teaching them the skills in foraging & bushcraft that help reduce their impact on enviroment. I also give them experience in gardening by making them sort out my allotment for me

I'm a regular on downsizer too.

That all sounds great Tim_n - encouraging the scouts to learn about bushcraft and foraging etc is particularly admirable.

Looking forward to hearing more from you

Wow if only my scout troop did that, I kept asking them to. We got to see a rabbit being skinned once, but that was it really.
