A mate of mine was explaining that you don't really go deep - you fold the bottom 18 inches of it so that it lays flat along the ground, extending out from the fence, and this bit is buried a few inches deep. But the Aussies are the experts - they have rabbit and dingo proof fences stretching thousands of miles, and, most importantly they have Jon Rose and Hollis Taylor who have made it their mission to play the fences with violin bows and the like.
