We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.
Always had an interest in this stuff and read Seymores book about 17 years ago after visiting that place in Wales in the Quarry ( no good at Welsh names ) but i have a question so i will go to another part of your forum and ask it and spend the rest of the night reading all your threads.
Hi paddy and welcome. If you sat here all night reading the posts you might have got a shock when the forum was unavailable for a bit. We are in the process of moving to a bigger server so that the forum will run more smoothly. The whole process might take another couple of days so bear with us for a bit.
We have turned a corner in terms of seasons down here in Tamaki / Auckland, Aotearoa. Damp northerly conditions combined with cool southerly breeze makes for a great day for mushrooms! Hmmm wild mushroom picking... yum.

The Center for alternativetechnology you mean? It is very much there still and going from strength to strength. I should visit it again my self at some point, I think it was a bit before that when I was there last. Perhaps in the 1980's at some point, it was just a house at that point (if I remember rightly, I was just a child)
